The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. Established in 1913, the society is organized into eleven geographical divisions of both medical and lay volunteers operating in more than 900 offices throughout the U.S. Its home office is located in Atlanta, Ga. Focus "To save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and fighting back."
Peach Pouches is an initiative set forth by the Founder of Gamma Pi Chi Social Service Sorority to help the homeless throughout the Southern states. During the year sisters will collect purses and bags to use for distributing toiletries and feminine products to the homeless in need. At the end of each drive period, we will go out into the community and give out the bags for those in need along with snacks.
Project Peach is the second initiative set forth by the Founder of Gamma Pi Chi Social Service Sorority to ensure all members are actively impacting their community within all the Southern states. Each nest will yearly set up a minimum of two events for the betterment of their community.
